Yesterday afternoon, the ANSWER Team was requested to respond to the Ocean Grove beach for a report of a swimmer in distress. Luckily, several lifeguards were nearby and safely removed the victim from the water. The swimmer was uninjured, and the remaining response was canceled. Strong work!
Please note that the #RipCurrent risk is high today (Tuesday) along the entire #JerseyShore. Use extra caution, only enter the water where permitted, and keep a close watch on those in your party. Rip currents can easily overwhelm even the most experienced swimmers!
